Training opportunity for young setters who are already playing in the setting position for their team or aspire to be one day! We will be emphasizing the fundamentals of the setting position starting from the feet and working our way up to the mind! Quick feet and strong hands are a great place to start, but understanding your job on the court as a setter is one of the most important ways to help both you and your team be successful!

Level 2 (ages 15U-18U high school):

Emphasis will be on quality repetition to develop consistency of movement, contact, and placement. Athletes will be given the opportunity to learn how to make plays in a variety of situations including transition, tough passes, and in multiple offensive systems. We will be challenging each athlete to think and act like the captain on the court and to understand there are more ways to help your team score than by just setting a “good” ball.

Coaches Academy at The Clubhouse

It is such a privilege to be called “Coach!” But it can come with a significant amount of responsibility beyond the Xs and Os…Now, more than ever before, our coaches need support and training regarding the mental health of both their athletes and themselves...we have all seen the headlines and might know the struggle personally…and we want to do something about it.

The motivation behind this event is to GIVE BACK TO THOSE WHO GIVE SO MUCH to our community. If you hold the title of "Coach" in any capacity, you are welcome! Our goals for our time together are:

1) Bring coaches of various ages and sports in SWMO to be together in one place.

2) Provide a convenient and affordable option for coaching education.

3) Continue the discussions on mental health and athletics in a safe space for coaches.

4) Help to build confidence and competence in our coaches’ ability to handle the important job they are given of leading young people.

5) And while this is an event for ALL coaches, we know our thing is …so we want to make sure our vb coaches have a special chance to learn and network in our facility while they’re here.
