Please see email below about tryouts from HOA
Dear Volleyball Player/Coach/Club Director
Due to the increasing spread of the Corona virus, I have made the decision to postpone all scheduled tryouts and cancel all open gyms, effective July 4.
Several clubs are starting to run into issues with facilities no longer being available to them, as school and church gyms are closing and we expect several parks and rec facilities to be no longer available for clubs to use.
At this point, we do not know if we will be able to sanction tryouts later in July or August. If the situation improves and tryouts can be held safely, we will contact everybody.
Starting July 9, we will allow open recruitment so parents and clubs can discuss opportunities for the 2020/21 season. No written offers or deposits can be signed/accepted until July 15.
As we all know, these are testing times and this is not a decision I am taking lightly. But with the current developments, I think it is the only option. We understand that this will disrupt the team forming process and may affect some people negatively. Though these are not normal times and we want everybody to be safe and healthy.
Heart of America Volleyball
So you are asking yourself, now what? We, at Apex, are trying to figure out how we can evaluate players since tryouts have been canceled. If your daughter was able to attend our open gyms, we were at least able to watch her. If your daughter was unable to attend our open gyms and did not play for Apex, it is almost impossible for us to place her on a team. Therefore, we have decided to offer some all-skills clinics this week at The Clubhouse. These clinics will have limited availability.
Starting Monday, July 6th Apex VB Club will host ALL-SKILLS clinics for area volleyball players! This is a great opportunity to get more ball touches and a higher level training before school tryouts and in place of Club tryouts that have been postponed/canceled due to the Coronavirus. This is not an open gym concept, we will work individually in small groups on volleyball skills.
The clinics are listed below. The cost of each clinic will be $20 per player. Each clinic's capacity will be limited to 40 players, so be the first to sign up. There is not a 24-hour requirement to register, but you must pre-register. The clinics will be non-refundable due to the limited number of players per session. If you would like to register for one of our clinics, please click the link below and follow the directions.

Do You Want To Be Apart of Apex VBC?
If you have not filled out the tryout/consideration player information form, we need you to do this so we know your daughter would like to be considered for Apex and what position she would like to be considered for. After July 9th, we will be contacting you about the possibility of your daughter playing for Apex. We strongly encourage your daughter to attend one of the all-skills clinics if she has not been able to attend one of the open gyms earlier in June. We have also included information about the age change per USAV. This will affect all the girls that were age waivers and unable to play with their grade if their birthday was in the summer before September 1st.
